Simon Courtney will run through the types of hearing protection PPE products SATRA tests, the legislation required, testing and assessments and the EN 352 series of standards. In addition, he will cover ANSI/ ASA standards for products going to the USA. There are a number of interesting developments in acoustic testing such as the scanning of subjects’ ear canals for moulded products which will also be explained.

Simon will mention how the new UKCA mark will affect the certification of hearing protection products.
